UNDERGROUND INFRASTRUCTURE INDUSTRIAL CLUSTER - UIIC

Underground Infrastructure Industrial Cluster is a non-profit association which unites the efforts of specialists from the infrastructural sector in their work on protection, rehabilitation and improvement of the underground infrastructure in Bulgaria. UIIC works for the promotion and expansion of the application of new technologies for reconstruction and modernization of the underground infrastructure in the country and for its dynamic development in compliance with the European standards. The Cluster promotes the development of innovative products and technologies for improvement of the underground infrastructure. It initiates the creation of an information exchange network, exchange of expert and organizational help and professional experience in the field of the technologies for reconstruction and modernization of the underground infrastructure.

UIIC assists its members as it:

Represents the members of the association in front of institutions, public and state authorities, etc;

Assists the association members with the preparation and implementation of projects for and together with governmental and non-governmental organizations, state and municipal authorities;

Promotes the creation and expansion of a fully functioning system for efficient interconnection between them and their corporative and social partners;

Promotes the access to participation in projects connected to the application of the European practices in the establishment and development of the clusters in the country;

Stimulates the exchange of information and the well-developed co-operation for joint initiatives, the ethical and responsible communication with other clusters in the country and abroad;

UIIC promotes the development and application of the modern technologies for construction and reconstruction of underground infrastructure as it:

Shares its experience in the field of the technologies for reconstruction and modernization of the underground infrastructure, which contribute to the improvement of the existing pipelines, the reduction of water losses, the environmental protection, the achievement of positive effects for the country, people's health and quality of life;

Promotes the development of innovative products and technologies for reconstruction and modernization of the underground infrastructure in the country;

Initiates the creation of an information exchange network, exchange of expert and organizational help, professional experience concerning the technologies for reconstruction and modernization of the underground infrastructure;

Stimulates the increase of the efficiency of the investments, targeted at stimulation of the economic growth, competitiveness, innovation and creation of new jobs in the UIIC member companies;

Assists the local authorities with the identification of the immediate problems of the existing pipeline system and contributes to their solution;
